Eligibility varies by program, so please review the specific details for each grant to determine if that award is a fit for you. Applicants generally must be either be:

  • An U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the United States and whose work is directly related to Hungarian culture.
  • A U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

We do not have any grants based in Hungary available at this time. Please check back for future opportunities and the accompanying eligibility criteria.

Applications must be submitted through our online application portal. Each grant has specific requirements, so we encourage applicants to carefully review the guidelines for the program they wish to apply for.

Yes, you may apply for multiple grants if your projects meet the eligibility requirements for each program. However, the same project cannot be funded through multiple Tulipán grants.

Applications are reviewed in cycles, based on the grant. Organization-based grants are awarded quarterly, while individual grants are awarded every other year. You will receive a decision within 6 weeks of the submission deadline.

If selected, you will receive an email notification with details on the next steps, including the process for signing a grant agreement.

Grantees must use the funds as outlined in their application and submit a final report upon project completion. This report should include how funds were used, the outcomes of the project, and its impact on the community.
