The Tulipán Artistic Ambassador Award helps nonprofit organizations to bring the talents of Hungarian and Hungarian American artists to broader audiences in the United States.

Only U.S.-based 501(c)(3) organizations in the New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut are eligible to apply for this award, as they will be responsible for managing the project's logistics, production, and finances. These nonprofit organizations, known as the Producing Organization, must have the capacity to execute public-facing programs that highlight Hungarian culture, providing artists with opportunities to share their work with a wider U.S. audience.

Eligible projects may include public performances, exhibitions, workshops, cultural festivals, or other events that showcase Hungarian art and culture. The project should foster engagement with diverse communities and enhance the visibility of Hungarian cultural expressions in the U.S.

Grants typically range from $1,000 to $10,000, depending on the project’s scope and needs. Smaller grants may be allocated to one-day events, while larger grants may support multi-part exhibitions or performances.

The Tulipán Artistic Ambassador Award is awarded on a semi-rolling basis with quarterly deadlines for application review.

Upon completion of the funded project, the Producing Organization must submit a final report detailing how the grant funds were used and the impact of the project on the community. This report should include an evaluation of project outcomes, audience engagement, and any lessons learned.

Only nonprofit organizations, known as Producing Organizations, can apply. While individual artists cannot apply directly, a nonprofit organization may apply on their behalf, serving as the official applicant and managing the project's logistics, production, and finances.
