Join us on February 8, 2025 as we honor the festive spirit of Farsang—Hungary’s beloved carnival season. Organized by the Tulipán Foundation in collaboration with the Arany János Hungarian School, this lively celebration will once again take place at the Hungarian House in New York City.
Our annual carnival celebration has become a beloved tradition, filled with laughter and vibrant energy. We invite children and adults alike to join us in their most playful masks and costumes as we bid farewell to winter and welcome the season of renewal. It’s a wonderful opportunity to connect with friends, meet new faces, and celebrate the customs that have brought our community together for centuries.
As in past years, we’re excited to offer immersive experiences that reflect Hungary’s rich cultural heritage—to include mask-making, folk crafts, and festive games. In true Farsang spirit, you can also expect a vibrant parade of costumes, accompanied by traditional folk music and dancing.
Registration will open in mid-January, and this popular event fills up quickly, so be sure to secure your spot as soon as you can. We can’t wait to celebrate the magic of Carnival with you—so don’t miss out! To learn more about Carnival, read here.
