Hunor Kosbor is an exceptionally gifted 18-year-old violinist and the lead musician of the Fészer Band, a Hungarian folk music ensemble based in New Jersey. With a deep passion for Hungarian folk music, he has performed at over 50 events across the U.S. in the past two years. Hunor began his musical journey at just four years old, quickly gravitating toward Hungarian folk music alongside his classical training. Growing up in the American-Hungarian community of New Brunswick, NJ, he immersed himself in this rich cultural tradition, studying under Transylvanian violinist András Sinkó and participating in numerous music workshops in Hungary and Transylvania. At 16, he founded the Fészer Band, which has since become an essential part of Hungarian cultural life in the U.S., performing authentic folk music at large venues, community centers, festivals, folk dance events, and private gatherings.
