Founded in 2007 by choreographer Fitos Dezső and co-artistic director Kocsis Enikő, the Fitos Dezső Dance Company is one of Hungary's leading contemporary folk dance ensembles. Renowned for transforming the traditions of the Carpathian Basin into powerful theatrical experiences, the company blends cultural heritage with innovative choreography to tell stories that resonate across generations. Drifters continues this legacy, exploring migration, memory, and the search for belonging through dance.

Guests arrive at the ferry terminal behind Castle Clinton on the waterfront side of Battery Park and board a private charter vessel reserved exclusively for the evening.
The ferry departs Battery Park for Ellis Island, offering sweeping views of New York Harbor, the Statue of Liberty, Lower Manhattan, Governors Island, and the Brooklyn waterfront as guests journey to one of America's most iconic places of arrival.
Wine, non-alcoholic refreshments, and a selection of substantial hors d'oeuvres are served as guests explore the Legacy of Hungarians in the United States: People, Places, Pathways exhibition before the performance.
Guests take their seats before a custom stage designed and transported from Hungary specifically for the production, where the Fitos Dezső Dance Company presents its U.S. debut of Drifters.
Guests board the private ferry for an evening return across New York Harbor, arriving back at Battery Park, bringing the journey from Manhattan to Ellis Island and back to a close.
Please note, times are approximate and subject to change based on ferry operations and National Park Service requirements.
